All new international students must check-in at SISS and attend the orientation program coordinated by Services for International Students and Scholars (SISS). Students beginning their studies in the Fall Quarter should also attend the University's orientation activities and events. Students who arrive in January to start the Winter Quarter, or March to begin Spring Quarter, must also attend the SISS New Student Orientation that is usually scheduled sometime during the first or second week of the quarter.

SISS orientations will provide you with important information about immigration and visa regulations as well as SISS services. The orientation program also helps acquaint international students with the educational and cultural environment at UC Davis, the town of Davis, and provide an opportunity to meet other new international students.
