Information for Visitors to Canada An application for a visa to enter Canada may be made through:
Visa applications are no longer accepted at the Canadian Consulate in San Francisco. For further information regarding travel to Canada, you might consult with the Canadian Consulate or the Citizenship and Immigration Canada homepage. Generally speaking, TO TRAVEL TO CANADA you should be in possession of a valid passport, valid I-94, and current, signed I-20AB, DS-2019 or I-797. Photocopies of these documents are not sufficient. YOU MAY NEED A VISA to enter Canada. Please check the Canadian consulate webpage (Los Angeles or Seattle) for current information or if you will need a Canadian visa. Visa applications may generally be made by mail although you could be asked to appear at the Consulate in person. If you do need a visa, you will be required to submit:
