All new students seeking a bachelor's degree at UC Davis are required to attend an Extended Orientation seminar.
In addition to important immigration information, a new I-20 required for maintaining status at UC Davis will be issued during Extended Orientation. This I-20 will be signed for travel outside the United States during the following year.
Mandatory Extended Orientation Schedule
- Sessions are assigned based on the last (family) name from your passport.
- Attendance at your assigned session is mandatory.
- You will receive an updated I-20 document at the Extended Orientation. This document, required for maintaining status, will allow travel outside the United States during the following year.

What to do if you have a class during your assigned Extended Orientation session
Email SISS the following information:
- First name
- Last name
- Student ID number
- The session you are able to attend
