Extended Orientation

All new initial and transfer F-1 students seeking a bachelor's degree at UC Davis are required to attend an Extended Orientation online workshop.

In addition to important immigration information, a new I-20 required for maintaining status at UC Davis will be issued after students successfully complete the Extended Orientation.  This I-20 will be signed for travel outside the United States during the following year.

After the first week of classes, new initial and transfer F-1 students will receive an email with instructions describing how to access and successfully complete the Extended Orientation.

Summer Start and Summer Sessions

What is the Summer Start Program?
  • UC Davis students who wish to come to campus before their regular program starts may be able to participate in a special Summer Start program held during the second summer session.
