Programs for International Undergraduate Students

SISS offers events, programs, and opportunities for international undergraduate students at UC Davis, including mentorship, academic development, and more.

Mentorship:    Global Ambassador Program

The Global Ambassador Program is designed to help international students feel comfortable at UC Davis and learn more about US culture. The students who run the program, the Global Ambassadors, act as mentors and, most importantly as friends to help new international students excel in their new lives as UC Davis students.

Participants will be able to share their culture and values with their mentor and receive guidance and support from them.

Academic Development:    EDU 65B

This is a 2-unit course in which international students may register each quarter of their first year at UC Davis. This course is offered by the School of Education and co-sponsored by Services for International Students and Scholars (SISS). It provides new international students with the tools to succeed in their first year at UC Davis. Students study and discuss the issues that challenge all of us and explore their interests, both academically and personally.
