Overview
Increasing shared understanding and knowledge through professional international exchanges, Global Professional Programs within Global Affairs partners with the U.S. Department of State, the Institute of International Education, and other agencies to bring international fellows, leaders, and scholars from across fields to UC Davis for professional development and mutually-beneficial collaboration.
International scholars who are sponsored by Fulbright would receive all immigration documents and advising through the Fulbright office. However, they are welcome to visit SISS to report their arrival and contact information so that they can be included in events and activities for international scholars. In addition, they may sign up for our New J-1 Scholar Orientation, which takes place every three weeks. Please visit our orientation website for more information. This is not to replace any orientation and immigration advising responsibility by the Fulbright office.
Fulbright Scholars Program
Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, the Fulbright program aims to increase mutual understanding through funding for students, scholars, and professionals to undertake international graduate study, advanced research, and teaching.

Humphrey Fellowship Program brings accomplished mid-career professionals with a commitment to public service to select U.S universities for professional experience and collaboration.
Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders
Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, the Mandela Washington Fellowship partners with select universities to empower young leaders from Sub-Saharan Africa through coursework leadership and networking opportunities.
