What is a Global Ambassador 'Mentee'?
The Global Ambassador Mentorship Program matches first-year ( freshman and transfer) undergraduate international students with a peer mentor, a fellow undergraduate students. You can ask your mentor about student life at UC Davis and the United States before you arrive!

Mentors can help you learn about clubs, campus resources, and academic support services. Matches are based on similar academic and social interests.
The Global Ambassador Mentor Program is also a great way to meet other students and make new friends! Mentors host fun social events throughout the year! Events are open to all undergraduate students, so you can always bring a friend.
Social activities and events have included:
- Holiday parties such as Halloween, Lunar New Year, and Valentine’s Day
- Study sessions with fellow mentors and mentees in your major
- Language learning and cultural exchange
- Exploring the UC Davis Arboretum
- Working out at the Athletic and Recreation Center (ARC)
- Professional development opportunities and career fairs
- Hanging out in downtown Davis at Farmers Market, a favorite Boba spot or cafe
