Orientation for Graduate and Professional Students

Graduate School of Management students: The Graduate School of Management will host SISS Orientation at the Graduate School of Management for international students
School of Law students: SISS Orientation is not applicable to you. Please find your primary contact at the international office at the School of Law.

Welcome new Aggies, and congratulations on your admission! Services for International Students and Scholars (SISS) is delighted that you have chosen UC Davis for your graduate program. All international graduate students are required to attend BOTH the (1) online International Graduate Student Orientation (IGSO) in iGlobal, and the (2) Graduate Studies Graduate Student Orientation, which requires a separate registration.

International Graduate Student Orientation (IGSO)

International Graduate Student Orientation (IGSO) hosted by SISS will be a combination of in-person and virtual events. Information on how to complete your orientation requirement will be sent to your UC Davis email address. International students studying at UC Davis with an F-1 or J-1 visa are required to complete the IGSO, which explains important immigration regulations. Graduate School of Management and School of Law students do not have to attend this orientation.

Basics Orientation

You can view short videos on transportation, safety, and other topics at your convenience. These videos are optional but are highly recommended as they will be helpful in transitioning into your new life in Davis. Optional, in-person sessions will be available in September, with the schedule coming soon. In the meantime, please watch International Orientation for Dependents.

Graduate Student Orientation hosted by Graduate Studies

The general Graduate Student Orientation is hosted by Graduate Studies. These sessions cover the necessary information and requirements for graduate students at UC Davis.
